Orthopedic Clinic of Galveston County

The physicians of OCGC have provided outstanding service to patients in the Galveston County area since 1977. Our goal is to provide individualized, optimal orthopedic and sports medicine services to each of our patients. We strive to remain current with the latest advances in orthopedic care and take the time to listen and understand the unique needs of each patient. We want to ensure that you understand your condition and your options for treatment.

We treat injuries and orthopedic conditions for a wide variety of ages groups including young athletes, weekend warriors and adults looking to relieve pain and improve function.

We see patients Monday through Friday and we make every attempt to arrange appointments the same day or next. We sincerely hope that a musculoskeletal injury never slows you down, yet we look forward to seeing you as a patient should the need ever arise.

Appointments

Appointments can be made by calling from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday -Friday or by submitting an online appointment request.

In some instances, we are able to conduct follow-up appointments through telemedicine. For patients who have been previously seen at the clinic and would like this option, please call the office to arrange a telemedicine visit.

Insurance & Billing

We accept most insurance plans. Some insurance plans require a referral for specialty care through your primary care practitioner. Please contact our office or call you insurance carrier should you have questions.

Our staff will be happy to file the insurance claim for you. Depending on your insurance coverage, you may be responsible for co-payments, co-insurance, or other deductible amounts.

When you come to our office, please bring your insurance card and carrier information with you. This will help us be more efficient as we provide the best care for you.

Office Policies

After Hours and Emergency Care

After business hours, our medical staff can be reached for urgent matters by leaving a message at . If you are experiencing an emergency, dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Telemedicine

In some instances, we are able to conduct follow-up appointments through telemedicine. For patients who have been previously seen at the clinic and would like this option, please call the office to arrange a telemedicine visit.

Prescriptions and Refills

Please request all prescriptions and authorizations during our regular office hours, when our full records are available. Renewals requested at other times will be filled only for extreme or emergent circumstances. In order to receive timely refills, please call the office two days in advance of running out of your medication.

Financial

If we are participating provider of your insurance company, we will bill them directly. However, payment is the patient’s responsibility. We will help in any way we can to assist you in handling claims. Deductible and co-pays are expected at the time of your appointment.

All office visits are payable at the time of service. We accept cash, checks and most major credit and debit cards. Please contact our billing office should you have any financial questions or concerns.
